On what makes someone real

A sheer and deep willingness to be present, to show up as one truly is.

To embrace all of one's quirks and so-called flaws, until one is nothing short of authentic.

A drive to connect above all, to get all the way to the nakedness of the soul.

I practice mindfulness everyday, because there isn't anyplace I'd rather be but here.

I earnestly face and hold all my imperfections, because I deserve to be loved, fully.

I continually open myself up to you, and us, because the union of essences is some of life's best stuff.
